Walking through the streets of Paris, in Rue Notre Dame de Nazareth, a sentence appeals you. “Entrez lentement” or come in slowly, that comes fromLe Courbusier’s inscription at the entrance of ‘Maison en bord de mer’ designed by Eileen Gray in Roquebrune Cap Martin in Cote d’Azure.
We just realize we are in front of the Great Design Gallery, that is hosting now an interesting project, is ‘Edition De Vacances’, the Holiday Edition, by L140.

This is chronologically the modus operandi of L140, a trio that which work between art and architecture, composed by Anji Dinh Van, Mélissa Epaminondi and Sophie Vigourous.
The installation reproduces on 1/1 scale , an element of a holiday home which overlap perfectly in the gallery space. He comes with his views , materialized by a painted paper published for the occasion: a curve ball of this house being built in the Corsican mountains at the time of exposure.
A To know where the name L140 comes from we have to go through another interesting project called ‘An edition of 500 nights‘:
not a temporary hotel, neither an exhibition, but a collection of 500 numerated and signed boxes, and a temporary location, a tiny room 1,40×9 m, comfortable just for 1- 2 people.
A selection of 100 DRESSED and 400 UNDRESSED boxes. Each box contains a certificate of authenticity, three catalogs with critical essays, pictures of the development of the venue and the project, presentation of the invited artists, writers and gallery owners, and a series of interviews with people used to being in hotels. They all answer the question: “What is your ideal hotel?”, a question we all chose for its imaginary and fantasy potential, and the projection offered by the idea of a hotel for talking about privacy. The DRESSED versions also include a night kit (T-shirts, masks and slippers, home made with love!). And above all, each box contains a pass giving access to this very special place that we’ve built with the guest artists. Each artist built the place with proper projects, making each time something characteristic and giving the chance to express him self.

Attraversando le strade di Parigi, è al 65 di rue Notre Dame de Nazareth, che una frase in particolare attira l’ attenzione.
“Entrez lentement”
Entrate lentamente, una frase che ci riporta al lontano 1938, scritta da Le Courbusier all’ingresso della ‘Maison en bord de mer’ progettata da Eileen Gray in Costa Azzurra.
Ci si trova davanti alla GREAT GALLERY, Design Gallery Grande, che ospita ora l’esibizione un progetto interessante, è ‘edizione de Vacances’, di L140.

Questo è cronologicamente il modus operandi di L140, un trio che che lavorano tra arte e architettura, composta da Anji Dinh Van, Mélissa Epaminondi e Sophie vigorosa.
L’installazione riproduce in scala 1/1, un elemento di una casa di vacanza che si sovrappongono perfettamente nello spazio della galleria. Egli viene con le sue opinioni, materializzate da una carta dipinta pubblicato per l’occasione: una palla curva di questa casa in costruzione sulle montagne della Corsica, al momento dell’esposizione.
Per sapere a cosa si deve il nome da L140 dobbiamo passare attraverso un altro progetto interessante chiamato ‘L’edizione di 500 notti:
non è un hotel temporaneo, né una mostra, ma una raccolta di 500 scatole numerate e firmate ed uno spazio effimero, temporaneo, una piccola stanza di dimensioni 1,40×9 m, comoda per al massimo per 2 persone.
Sono due le categorie in cui si suddividono le scatole: DRESSED e UNDRESSED . Ogni scatola contiene un certificato di autenticità, tre cataloghi con testi critici, immagini dello sviluppo della sede e il progetto, presentazione degli artisti invitati, scrittori e galleristi, e una serie di interviste a chi è abituato a stare in alberghi. Tutti rispondono alla domanda: “Qual è il tuo hotel ideale?”, Una domanda che tutti noi abbiamo scelto per il suo potenziale immaginario e la fantasia, e la proiezione offerto dall’idea di un albergo per parlare di privacy. Le versioni VESTITI includono anche un kit di notte (magliette, maschere e pantofole, fatta in casa con amore!). E soprattutto, ogni scatola contiene un passaggio che dà accesso a questo luogo molto speciale che abbiamo costruito con gli artisti ospiti. Ogni artista ha costruito il luogo biancocon progetti propri, non ha semplicemente attaccato delle opere ma bensì creato un opera speciale nella stanza, rendendo il progetto caratteristico e dando la possibilità agli artefici di esprimere se stessi nello spazio.
