Envision is a design exhibition setting design dialogs that explore new process and ideas. It is a meeting point between 9 designers linked by a common point of view: the material investigation and the designer’s conception seen as intermediary between invention and production. An exhibition presented at the Ventura Design District in 2016 that showcases everything except the final product, it wants to overturn the balance exploring new creative process. The 9 designers showcase what material and what process is essential to generate a new project.
This offers to the public the opportunity to see the various stages of production, usually unknown to the consumer, highlighting the initial processes. The designers want in this way create a dialogue to captivates customers and manufacturers as well so as to set new projects originate by the collaboration between them. By crowdsourcing ideas, Envisions allows for unexpected developments in the making process and ultimately gives rise to new-found joint ventures.
Philosophy that we consider essential to continue explore the possibilities of this sector, and as well as Vico Magistrates said: “The design projects are dialogues”.

Envision é il punto di incontro tra 9 designers legati da una ricerca comune: l’indagine del materiale, la concezione del designer visto come tramite tra invenzione e produzione. Una mostra presentata al Ventura Design District 2016 che non propone al pubblico oggetti finiti ma vuole sovvertire gli equilibri esplorando un nuovo processo creativo. Questo offre la possibilità di vedere le varie fasi di produzione, solitamente sconosciute al consumatore, per poi arrivare al prodotto finito, mettendo in risalto i processi iniziali. I designers vogliono in questo modo creare un dialogo che coinvolga clienti e produttori così da innescare nuovi progetti nati dalla collaborazione tra di loro.
Filosofia che riteniamo essenziale per continuare a esplorare le possibilità di questo settore, e come diceva anche Vico Magistrati, “i progetti nascono dialogando”
